Phil Hellmuth is used to being the biggest celebrity whenever he sits down at a poker table, but the recent All In for Mount Sinai Charity Poker Tournament saw the likes of Ben Affleck and others give him a good run for his money…
The 15-time WSOP gold bracelet winner may annoy some with his ‘Poker Brat’ persona, but there’s no denying the legendary Hellmuth does more than his fair share for good causes.
The recent Feeding America charity event on ACR organised by poker-loving actor Affleck, as well as the $17,500 raised by auctioning off a two-hour coaching session both saw Hellmuth doing his bit for coronavirus relief.
The All In for Mount Sinai Charity Poker Tournament was the latest in the charity drives, ‘Lumestackin’ Hellmuth sitting next to Joe Kernan from CNBC’s “Squawk Box”, with Lorraine Bracco from the Sopranos and Jason Alexander of Seinfeld fame also at the table.
The event also attracted a host of other celebs, including actor Bryan Cranston, ‘The Bachelor’ presenter Chris Harrison, celebrity chef Bobby Flay, author Chip Gaines, and comedian Joy Behar.
The winner, however, was a name you may not know so well, but you’ll maybe know him if you hear him – voice actor Jeff Schine, known for voicing Captain America in the video game among many other roles.
As for Hellmuth, the raising money rather than raising hell at the tables continues, yet another charity event on the schedule…
