Don’t Fade the Joker

Jokisch has easily been one of the best starters in the KBO this season, posting a 3-0 record, with a 1.17 ERA and 0.87 WHIP. The former Chicago Cubs hurler ranks top-five in in nearly every key statistical category and has given up just four runs in four starts.

The Heroes haven’t won since the last time he took the mound, in large part due to their pitching. They’ve given up 26 runs in their last their three outings, a problem that Jokisch should fix.

Kiwoom’s opponent KT Wiz is fresh off back-to-back wins and will hand the ball to Min Kim. The righty’s 2-1 record looks respectable, but his 6.32 ERA and 1.72 WHIP tell a different story. KT Wiz has averaged over 9 runs of offense in his three starts, something which is unlikely to be repeated versus Jokisch and the Heroes.

Pick: Kiwoom -1.5 (-115)

The Eagles are in a Free Fall

To say the Hanwha offense is struggling would be a major understatement. The Eagles were shut out again Thursday for the third time in less than a week, and are currently in the midst of a five-game losing streak. They’ve been outscored 34-12 over that stretch, yet are favored on the road versus SK Wyverns.

Granted, SK has the fewest wins in the league but they did show life versus powerhouse Doosan this week. The Wyverns knocked off the Bears 6-1 on Thursday and would have taken two of three from them if not for a shaky bullpen.

SK roughed up Eagles’ starter Min Woo Kim in a 5-2 win earlier this season, and will send one its better arms to the hill. Tae Hoon Kim may be 0-2 in 2020, but he’s sporting an impressive 2.84 ERA and a tidy 0.95 WHIP.

Pick: SK Wyverns moneyline (-105)

Dinos Deliver Again

Until the NC Dinos are given the respect they deserve by the books, they’ll continue to show up as one of our top plays. The Dinos cashed another ticket Thursday, extending their winning streak to five along the way.

The offense remained scorching hot, pounding 13 hits and scoring nine times, and now they’ll send their ace Drew Rucinski to the hill against the 8-13 Samsung Lions.

Rucinski was brilliant last time out, tossing eight innings of shutout ball, while striking out nine. He’s 3-0 so far this season and has allowed more than two runs in just one of four starts.

Laying -150 to cover 1.5 runs isn’t ideal, but there’s a strong argument to be made that the juice should be higher. NC is 17-3 this season, with 12 of those wins coming by two runs or more.

Pick: NC Dinos -1.5 (-150)
