Celebrity boxing is nothing new, and odds have been released on boxing promoter Eddie Hearn taking on UFC president Dana White.
Hearn and White have been on the same page lately, but the two promoters have had their differences. The Englishman Hearn slammed the UFC boss for trying to host his April 18 event.
Since then, the two have mostly praised each other. One online sportsbook has opened odds on a potential fight between the two, nonetheless.
Eddie Hearn vs Dana White Fight Odds
Fighter | Odds |
---|---|
Eddie Hearn | -130 |
Dana White | -110 |
Odds as of May 29th.
Why Are These Odds Coming Up?
It honestly came as a surprise to see these odds open up now. Historically, White has not gotten along with boxing promoters. There was talk he would fight Oscar De La Hoya, as the two have had a longstanding rivalry, but he and Hearn are much different. The two sometimes don’t get along, but lately, they have sung each other’s praises.
Hearn has stated he will be reaching out to White to try to set up a potential crossover match between Francis Ngannou and Dillian Whyte. The Matchroom Boxing promoter also talked about working with White past that fight if they can make it happen.
“I thought maybe me and Dana could put this night together where you’ve got a ring which also transforms into a cage between match up,” Hearn said in a Q&A on Instagram Live. “So you’ve got crossover fights but you’ve got an MMA fighter against a boxer in a ring. Then you’ve got a boxer fighting an MMA fighter in a cage.”
Will a Fight Happen?
I can’t ever see Dana White or Eddie Hearn actually fighting anyone, let alone each other.
The two are millionaires and don’t have any reason to fight, even if they do hate each other, which doesn’t seem to be the case. They can easily just trash-talk one another in the media without having to step into the ring and risk the chance of one of losing and being made fun of for quite some time.
Eddie Hearn is holding a ‘press conference’ with Dillian Whyte and Francis Ngannou tomorrow on the Matchroom YouTube channel.

Ultimately, I highly doubt this fight ever happens. White has talked about wanting to fight people before like De La Hoya and Tito Ortiz, and those didn’t happen. I doubt he’d step into the ring to fight Eddie Hearn.
Who Should Be The Favorite?
As far as the odds on who would win, the line looks about right. We have no idea how either of them would fare in a fight. We don’t know their skills, or their ability to take a punch. If anything, I think the odds should’ve just been a straight pick’em.
As I said above, I doubt this fight happens, but if it does, there better value is on White.
Pick: Dana White (-110)
