Home teams dominated KBO play on Friday, posting a 4-1 mark, with KIA suffering the lone loss to LG. The victory was the Twins’ fifth straight and moved them to within two games of the first-place NC Dinos.

LG and the KIA will square off again at 1:00 AM ET in the first game of Saturday’s slate, in what could be a low-scoring affair.

Unders Dominate Recent Twins and Tigers Games

Friday’s 6-2 win for the Twins marked the third time in four games LG has allowed two or fewer runs. They lowered their team ERA to 4.04, which ranks third in the KBO, and the under hit for the sixth time in their last nine outings.

KIA, meanwhile, dropped its third straight decision and has been outscored 17-7 during that stretch. They’re one of only four teams yet to score 100 runs this season, and like LG, they’ve been profitable for under bettors lately. Seven of the past nine KIA games have stayed under the total, including three of the past four.

Min Woo Lee will take the ball for the Tigers, and will look to build on his personal upward trajectory. Lee has improved each time out this season, and most recently allowed just three hits and one run over seven innings.

Pick: Under 9.5 (-120)

Dinos Bats Bounce Back

The Dinos failed to score five runs Friday for the first time in five games, but the offense is in prime position to bounce back Saturday. The NC bats will square off against Samsung Lions starter David Buchanan, who they lit up earlier this season.

Buchanan surrendered five runs in five innings on that night, and was roughed up for 10 runs two starts later against LG.

The Dinos lead the KBO in runs scored (133), and the Lions ballpark is one of the most hitter-friendly venues in the league. Samsung home games average 11.3 runs per game, and have seen totals of 19, 16 and 13 over the last eight days.

Pick: Over 9.5 (-120)

Back to the Wyverns Well

This is more of a play against Hanwha than it is on SK, but the fact that the Wyverns have reeled off back-to-back wins doesn’t hurt.

SK has scored 14 runs in its past two games and has another favorable matchup Saturday against the Eagles’ Shi Hwan Jang. The right-hander has allowed 14 runs in his last three starts and is sporting an ugly 7.20 ERA and a monster 2.25 WHIP.

The Wyverns will counter with Ricardo Pinto, who shut down Hanwha earlier this season. He allowed just three hits and one run in a 5-3 victory over the Eagles on May 6th. He’s also  fresh off seven innings of two-run ball versus KIA.

Hanwha has lost six straight and has been shutout three times in the last week alone.

Pick: SK Wyverns moneyline (-145)
