Timeform identify the three best bets at the Curragh on Saturday…
“…he doesn’t look badly treated on his handicap debut…”
Timeform on Dance Jupiter
High Definition – 15:15 Curragh
High Definition could hardly have created a better impression when winning a maiden over this course and distance on debut and he can take this step up in class in his stride. He looked in a bit of trouble when outpaced three furlongs out, and he had to wait for a gap at the two-furlong marker, but he found a hugely impressive burst to pass plenty of rivals and win going away. That effort marked him down as an exciting prospect likely to make significant improvement, so he is difficult to oppose.
Summerghand has been kept busy this season – he has raced 11 times – but he has enjoyed an excellent campaign, running well in a number of handicaps and gaining a deserved success in the Stewards’ Cup. He was unable to make an impact in the Group 1 Sprint Cup last time, but he has had his sights lowered here and has the best form on offer. He is a consistent, likeable sprinter who should give a good account.
The lightly raced Dance Jupiter caught the eye on his seasonal reappearance and first start for Joseph O’Brien at Galway this month, and he could prove difficult to beat with that outing under his belt. Dance Jupiter beat Patrick Sarsfield – a subsequent Group 3 winner – on his final start for John Kiely last season, impressing with how he overcame the worst of the draw, and he shaped well on his return at Galway, making good headway in the straight to finish runner, beaten only by a better-placed rival. He doesn’t look badly treated on his handicap debut and should have more to offer.
