Northern California’s Lucky Chances Casino Has Reopened

Lucky Chances Casino reopened on June 22, 2020 after months of operations being temporarily suspended due to the coronavirus outbreak. The Colma, California cardroom is home to one of the biggest and best poker rooms in the Bay Area. Poker action has resumed, with the maximum number of players per table reduced to six. Only every other table in the room will be in use, and plexiglass barriers are expected to be installed in the coming weeks. Cash games are running now, while tournaments are discontinued for the time being.

Face coverings are required for all guests and employees. All guests will be screened for elevated body temperature. Any guests displaying symptoms or a temperature of above 100.4°F will be denied entry to the venue. Employees will be provided with face shields and gloves upon request, and will undergo daily self-screening. Employees are required to stay home if displaying symptoms of COVID-19.

Cards will be changed regularly and gaming chips have undergone a deep cleaning and will continue to be sanitized regularly. Table-side food service has been discontinued.

The California Games section of the casino has been reconfigured to reduce the total number of tables to better allow for the proper social distancing of six feet or more. The number of total guests allowed per table has been reduced, depending on the type of game. In general, the California Games tables will have a maximum of three guests allowed. Backline betting has been discontinued. The California games that are being offered include Baccarat, Blackjack, Three Card Poker, Ultimate Texas
Hold’em, and Pai Gow Tiles.

Plexiglass barriers have been installed at all cages, restaurants, and gift shop stations. Proper physical distancing of six feet is required whenever possible, with proper distances indicated on the floor with markings in places where queuing is common. The North doors are now exit only, while guests will be asked to enter through the South entrances.

Large screen television around the property will be displaying COVID-19 safety messages to help inform guests.
