WCOOP returns on Sunday

The World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) starts on Sunday and goes on until September 23, with $80 million in guaranteed prize pools at PokerStars

There will be 75 events each with three buy-in levels (Low, Medium and High).

In addition to the $80 million guaranteed during WCOOP, at least $200 million overall will be paid out in scheduled tournaments at PokerStars in September.

The WCOOP Main Event will take place from September 20 with a Low ($55), Medium ($530) and High ($5,200) tier. The guarantees will be $1.25 million, $2 million and $10 million respectively.

One new feature this year will be the ‘2021 Slam Packages’. There will be 15 ‘Sunday Slam’ tournaments which will also award the winner Main Event High entries to the 2021 WCOOP, SCOOP and Stadium Series.

$1.5 million in WCOOP tickets will be awarded in ‘WCOOP Sweepstakes’. You get a ticket for the sweepstakes for every WCOOP event you play, the more you play, the more tickets you get.

There will be no WCOOP events on Fridays to give players and in particular those going for the WCOOP Player of the Series a day off every week.
