A woman has been arrested in Nevada on suspicion of stealing over $1 million from poker pro Antonio Esfandiari.

Svitlana Silva was arrested earlier this month after the alleged incident on July 14 which took place at Panorama Towers.

Taken from his safe in his apartment was $150,000 in cash, around $500,000 in poker chips, a diamond bracelet worth $350,000, several watches worth a combined $50,000 and a gold suitcase

Silva is said to have lived off and on with Esfandiari’s father Bejan and had access to his smartphone, which had similar passwords to the one on the safe. She was spotted playing in a private Las Vegas poker game using $25,000 Aria chips, which she tried to cash out as cash.

This almost certainly relates to this tweet from Daniel Negreanu at the same time where he was appealing for anyone for information on stolen $25,000 Aria chips.

Silva has been bailed and a criminal complaint has not been filed, her case is scheduled for October.

Do you think would have to pay extra to get a gold suitcase through the checking desk because of its weight? Let us know in the comments:
