A quiet week for the team at Bankhouse with no runners until Friday and this weekend is pretty quiet too with just the 2 runners at Haydock on Saturday where I run Ubaltique and Mount Mews.
You can read all my thoughts on the weekend runners below:
Saturday
Ubaltique
Track: Haydock – 3:45
Jockey: Will Kennedy
He’s got two ways of running and you never quite know which Ubaltique will turn up but he does tend to run well around this time of year and has won this race on three occasions. The trip, track and ground are all in his favour so I’d be hopeful of a good run even at the age of 12.
Mount Mews
Track: Haydock – 4:15
Jockey: Brian Hughes
He went ver wide the last day at Aintree and when he came past me the first time I said “you’re flat out” so we are stepping him up in distance. Does he want three miles on heavy ground? Possibly not but he’s ready to go and his Wetherby run would give him a big chance.
Best Chance: Mount Mews
