Just two weeks remain on the KBO regular season calendar and time is running out on KIA to make a post season push. The Tigers enter play on Tuesday, at 5:30 am EST, versus the first place NC Dinos, 6.5 games back of the final playoff spot. KIA has dropped seven of its last 11, and will be hard pressed to find the win column in this matchup.

Odds as of Oct. 19th at FanDuel.
The Tigers opened as a short home underdog, but will have to face the league’s number one offense with one of their weaker arms.
Advantage NC
KIA will give the ball to Hyun Shik Jang, who’ll make just his second start in the last three seasons. Jang, who spent the last six seasons with NC, has posted an ERA below 5.29 just twice in his career, and is currently sporting a 9.49 ERA and 1.95 WHIP in 2020 as a reliever.
The 25-year-old lasted just a third of an inning in his last outing, coincidentally against this same Dinos team. NC roughed him up for three runs and three hits, marking the third time Jang has surrendered three or more runs in less than a full inning of work this season.
The NC bats meanwhile, were on fire last week scoring 40 times in just six contests. They’ve averaged over nine runs per game in their past three outings versus the Tigers and will send one of their prized young arms to the mound.

Myung Gi Song will be searching for his fifth straight win on Tuesday, and has allowed just seven runs total in his last four starts. One of those outings was against KIA, where he held the Tigers to two runs and three hits in an 8-3 Dinos victory.
Pick: NC Dinos moneyline (-128)
Flexen on Lotte
Elsewhere in the KBO on Tuesday, defending champion Doosan takes on seventh place Lotte. The Bears are a hefty -178 moneyline favorite, but what stands out is the total. This game opened at 10.5, a number that will be tough to exceed with Chris Flexen and Adrian Sampson scheduled to start.
Not quite the smoothest start in the world, but Chris Flexen held the Hanwha Eagles to 1 run in 6 IP today. Threw his 4-seam fastball about 68% of the time, repeatedly blowing it by the Eagles hitters #KBO #KBOLeague pic.twitter.com/KUKZrBerr7

Flexen has allowed just one run in his past 13 innings, and has held the opposition to two runs or less in four straight starts. He’s lowered his ERA to 3.41 and has a fantastic track record versus the Giants. The right-hander is 2-0, with a 1.50 ERA in three starts against Lotte this season.
The Giants will counter with Adrian Sampson, who was brilliant in his last outing. The 29-year-old shutout second place LG to earn his third straight victory. He’s allowed two runs or less in back-to-back starts, and is 1-0 with a perfect 0.00 ERA against the Bears in 2020.
Pick: Under 10.5 (-124)
