Famed poker professional Daniel Negreanu continues to make headlines for the wrong reasons, this time for foully castigating legendary poker broadcaster Norman Chad over Chad’s recent comments that Negreanu’s vile Twitch outburst during a recent WSOP Online bracelet event — the outburst got Negreanu banned from Twitch — were well over the line.

Negreanu, in a brief video seen above, attacked Chad following the latter’s comments on Twitter about DNegs’ violent threats aimed at a chat troll on his own stream a couple of weeks back. Chad, who has partnered with Lon McEachern as the voices of ESPN’s televised World Series of Poker broadcasts for well over a decade, brought up the Negreanu situation with tweets such as these:
Yes, @RealKidPoker, I don’t like cursing in public forums, but there is cursing and then there is THIS:
— Norman Chad (@NormanChad) August 5, 2020
“Hey, go f–k yourself, you piece of sh-t. Block that c–k motherf—-g piece of sh-t. F–k you, f–k you, f–k you in your ass. How about that? OK, f–k you in your ass. Eat some of that, you piece of s–t. Come f—–g step to me and say that and I will knock you the f–k out.”
— Norman Chad (@NormanChad) August 5, 2020
You followed that up by telling the guy you’d knock out his teeth and feed them to him anally.
How is it okay to physically threaten someone during your live stream?
You now say this was “tongue in cheek.”
Then, rather than apologize for your behavior, you give a FU statement.

P.S. There has been no one in poker I have lavished more praise on than @RealKidPoker, on WSOP broadcasts, podcasts & sports talk radio. He’s done it right for so long.
This is not doing it right; I wish someone in his inner circle would say, “Bro, really? WTF?”

Negreanu responded with a brief 46-second video in which he claimed to have typed up 17 Twitter responses to Chad, then deleted each of them before sending. Negreanu then called Chad a “preachy motherfucker. Preach, preach, preach, preach, preach from his perfect high top.”
Negreanu, now on full blast, continued with the attack.
“You don’t like it, I don’t give a fuck. I think I’ve made that clear. I don’t give a fuck what you think,” he said, slapping his hands together for emphasis. “At all. You’re not my fucking mentor, my life guru; I do not follow your rules of living. You do you, you can say whatever the fuck you want to me. I’m not going to listen to you, you dumb fuck. Enough!”
WIth dismissive waves of his hands, Negreanu concluded the attack with:
“Move… on… to bigger and better things.”
A majority of onlookers, though notably excepting many of Negreanu’s fans, have viewed the ongoing outbursts as unfortunately typical. For nearly two decades, Negreanu has enjoyed the celebrity and financial rewards associated with being one of poker’s most prominent players, yet he has rarely accepted that some of his behavior is ill-suited to such a role, particularly when it can negatively impact businesses that pay to sponsor him. It’ll be interesting to watch if this situation continues to escalate and if current sponsor GGPoker takes a more aggressive stance toward Negreanu’s emotional behavior.
