- 2020 Online WSOP Bracelet Winners on GGPoker
Four more bracelet winners were confirmed last night on GGPoker after a huge day of WSOP Online action. As well as this, two final tables were confirmed in the COLOSSUS and PLOSSUS events. In total, over $7.5m of prize money was won at the online tables, with no repeat of last weekend’s technical issues.
The action continues this week with Event #43: $10,000 Short Deck No Limit Hold’em Championship on Tuesday, Event #44: $2,500 No Limit Hold’em 6-Handed on Wednesday and Event #45: $840 Bounty No Limit Hold’em on Thursday.

Roberto Romanello Wins Triple Crown After Victory in Event #39: $1,500 No Limit Hold’em
Roberto Romanello showed resilience and determination at the final table of Event #39: $1,500 No Limit Hold’em to win his first WSOP bracelet and $212,613 in prize money.
He became the ninth-ever winner of poker’s Triple Crown – WSOP bracelet, European Poker Tour and World Poker Tour Main Event wins – after defeating Niklas Astedt heads-up.
The Swedish online phenom dominated large portions of the contest, but was pegged back repeatedly just when it looked he might run away with proceedings. The Swede lost five of the 10 double-ups at the final table, causing him to lose momentum at vital moments.
On the flip side, Romanello’s final table display was dogged and persevering. The Welsh player, who had never finished higher than third in a WSOP bracelet event before, was responsible for half of all double-ups at the final table, three of which came at the expense of Astedt.

The Triple Crown
It was 9 years, 7 months and 8 days since he secured the 2010 EPT Prague Main Event title, and Romanello has now written his name into the history books as the latest winner of poker’s Triple Crown. With over $4m in lifetime earnings according to The Hendon Mob he can now proudly boast a WSOP bracelet as part of his poker resume.

Notable finishers in the money included Ali Imsirovic (126th – $3,237), Danny Tang ($123rd – $3,237), Conor Beresford (95th – $3,771), Adam “Ben Farrell” Owen (85th – $3,771), Jack “Claashole” Sinclair (58th – $4,393), Alex Foxen (45th – $4,393), Pete Chen (37th – $5,118), Luc Greenwood (25th – $6,356), Henri Buehler (22nd – $6,356) and Artur Martirosian (15th – $8,759).
The last remaining former bracelet-winner was Thomas Cazayous, who won his bracelet at the 2019 WSOP. The ‘Silent Assassin’ eventually finished fifth.
Marcelo “Marolo” Jakovljevic Pudla Wins Event #32: $100 The Opener for $265,880
More than a week after it began, the first event of the GGPoker World Series of Poker Online is finished, and Brazilian Marcelo “Marolo” Jakovljevic Pudla took down the top prize of $265,880. Pudla powered through a record field in a WSOP event, besting the full field of 29,306 entries. On Day 2, Pudla had to contend with 4,599 returning stacks, but when the dust settled after nearly 11 hours of play, the Brazilian had amassed all the chips and won a WSOP bracelet.
With just a single cash on his Hendon Mob page, and $11,053.39 in winnings on his GGPoker profile, this is not only Pudla’s first bracelet, but it looks to be his biggest ever cash as well. Pudla led for much of the final table, and eliminated seven of the final nine players. However, he came into the heads up play behind in chips after runner up Ronit “Songjoy” Chamani eliminated Dejan “627265” Kaladjurdjevic in third place and gathered more than 1 billion chips.
Pudla was able to turn it around over the 10 minute HU match, catching two doubles, and although Chamani pulled back out in front again over the next few hands, Pudla hung on to secure another double. That left Chamani short and Pudla converted at the next opportunity.

Alek “astazz” Stasiak Claims His First WSOP Gold Bracelet in Event #33: $1,111 Every 1 for Covid Relief
Alek “astazz” Stasiak topped a field of 2,323 entries to earn his first World Series of Poker title along with $343,204 in a little over nine hours of play. Event #33: $1,111 Every 1 for Covid Relief (Caesar’s Cares) was delayed by a week due to technical issues last Sunday, but for Stasiak, it was well worth the wait.
Stasiak makes his home in Quebec, Canada, earning the majority of his live cashes at the Playground Poker Club, dating back to 2013. This one, however, had a little extra spice on it. Not only will the Canadian have a new piece of jewelry to sport to his friends, but this is by far and away his largest career tournament cash, his only one above six figures.
Stasiak came into the heads-up battle with Martin “colinchow” Ilobera as a slight underdog but quickly turned the table with a massive double up in the first hand. Stasiak went into the break with over 90% of the chips in play, and although Ilobera would double once, it wasn’t enough and Stasiak saw out the victory.

Simon Lofberg Wins First Bracelet in Event #40: $2,500 Pot Limit Omaha ($224,493)
The third Pot Limit Omaha tournament of the 2020 GGPoker World Series of Poker Online Bracelet Events has played down to a champion and it took more than nine hours of play to whittle down a field of 532 entries in Event #40: $2,500 Pot Limit Omaha to a winner. In an all-Scandinavian heads-up battle for the lion’s share of the $1,263,500 prize pool it was Simon Klas Lofberg who defeated Andreas Torbergsen to claim a maiden WSOP gold bracelet to his name along with the top prize of $224,493.
For Torbergsen, the runner-up finish comes with a consolation prize of $164,552.93. Third-placed Shyngis Satubayev scored a payday of $120,616.86 but missed out to become the first player from Kazakhstan to join the winner’s circle. Just five days ago, Satuyabev bubbled the final table of Event #35 $5,000 Pot Limit Omaha when yet another Scandinavian in Juha Helppi claimed his second WSOP bracelet.
The other big story of the final table was certainly the appearance of Leon Tsoukernik. By the time the bubble burst, he was among the chip leaders, and the King’s Resort owner entered the final table as chip leader, eventually finishing fourth for $88,412.

A field of nearly 2,000 Day 2 was trimmed to just nine, and it’s anyone’s game heading to the final table of Event #41: $400 COLOSSUS. That’s because nobody has more than 33 big blinds, so while the shortest stacks are in single digits, anyone is a mini-heater away from the chip lead.
Holding the actual chip lead at this late juncture: Lithuania’s Arunas “AngryGoose” Sapitavicius (pictured). Sapitavicius has less than $90K in WSOP cashes but could potentially ship many times that should he manage to close out this final table, which offers a whopping $595,930 up top plus an added $15K WSOP Europe package.
Among others still in contention: online PLO Joni Jouhkimainen and Ajay Chabra, who came very close to a bracelet in 2019 but fell heads up in the $1,500 2-7 Single Draw.

Yuri Dzivielevski Leads PLOSSUS Final Table; $221,557 for First Place
Brazil’s Yuri Dzivielevski emerged from the Day 2 field in the WSOP Event #42 $400 PLOSSUS on Sunday after amassing a healthy stack of 51,590,103 in chips ahead of the final table taking place at GGPoker on Saturday, Aug. 1 at 9 p.m. GMT.
Dzivielevski is looking for his second taste at WSOP gold to add to the bracelet he won last year live in Las Vegas after shipping WSOP Event #51: $2,500 Mixed Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better, Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better for $213,750.

He will be competing for even more this time around as Saturday’s final table will award a huge first-place prize of $221,557 along with a WSOP Europe package valued at $15,000.
